Many people ask us about the well being of Harry , our Springer Spaniel, he is now 11 years old and has been slowed down a bit by arthritis however he is still very vocal and enjoys patrolling the gardens, we still walk the many routes in the valley with him but not with quite so much vigour. For anyone wishing to visit the area for walking please do ask Paul for some ideas of which routes to take, there are so many and each have different changing vistas with every season.
During the course of the last ten years we have had the privilege of meeting many interesting and diverse people from all walks of life, the vast majority have been knowledgeable and humorous, interesting and a joy to look after at The Bell. But in May last year we were very proud to have been invited to a Reception for the Hospitality Industry at Buckingham Palace, we were introduced to The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and had the opportunity to talk to each of them individually about The Bell at Sapperton. The whole evening was memorable and one of the few beautiful evenings of a very damp summer.
