
Once again our food has evolved dramatically since 1999, the onset of foot and mouth brought about a widespread change in distribution patterns for farmers and food producers . We have endeavoured to embrace this change and now concentrate on using as much produce as possible that has been bred or grown in the West Country or the Welsh Borders . We are regularly reviewing our suppliers and will always give small businesses an opportunity to offer us their premium quality products. We are not in the business of offering cheap and cheerful two for one offers, we believe wholeheartedly in offering value for money using only the best ingredients.
This philosophy has paid off handsomely, as over the last few
years we have been recognised with regional awards by a number
of organisations,
most notably most notably ' Taste of the West' who named us as their South
West Dining Pub for 2005 .We were very proud to receive this award from HRH
The Prince of Wales at a presentation in September 2005 , this followed winning
'Most Distinctive Local Menu' from Coswold Life Magazine Food and Drink Awards
in 2003 and 2004.
